About Lisa G.

lisag-bio

Lisa G. was an  on-air reporter for Howard 100 News, Howard Stern’s news at SiriusXM Satellite Radio for ten years.  Her responsibilities included updating news headlines each morning to Howard Stern (live inside his on-air studio), filing news reports for hourly Howard 100 newscasts and covering red carpet events.

Before The Howard Stern Show, Lisa was part of America’s first morning hip-hop morning radio show.
The urban dream team of Lisa, Ed Lover and Dr. Dre, helped make Hot 97 a city institution in the ‘90s. Lisa’s quick wit and vivacious personality was always an intricate part of the show’s success. She interviewed some of the world’s top musical artists and celebrities, always with great insight and a sense of humor. Her lively opinions have also won her numerous awards and many appearances on network and cable TV shows.

She has been the recipient of Billboard’s Air Personality of the Year Award and  Hofstra University’s Radio Hall of Fame. In 2003, she was the recipient of the Gracie Allen Award for best local radio host. The “Gracie” recognizes women who have made outstanding contributions in radio and TV.

Lisa also re-united with Ed and Dre in 2002, to help launch the successful Power 105.1 FM in New York City.

In addition, Lisa has reported on fashion/style for ESPN2’s ‘Cold Pizza’ and has been a member of US Weekly Magazine’s fashion police, critiquing celebrities’ tasteless wardrobes with her hilarious inventive quotes.

For three years, Lisa also brought her lively opinions into the mix on the morning show at New York’s heritage radio station WOR 710 AM.

Previously, Lisa reported on music/entertainment for WCBS-TV Channel 2 NY with her ‘What’s Happening with Lisa G.’ segments. She also reported live to CBS-affiliated morning radio shows around the country. In addition, Lisa hosted ‘Finish Line’ for ESPN2, reported on the NYC Marathon/ESPN2 and has done numerous television voice-overs (YES Network, NBC Sports, ABC Sports, and MSG Network).

Lisa has been a correspondent for REAL TV and E!’s The Gossip Show and has appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, FOX News Channel, Hannity & Colmes, CNN, Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell, MSNBC, Inside Edition, The Food Television Network, LX-TV New York, WPIX-TV Morning Show, Fox-5 News NY, Montel Williams, Geraldo and Ricki Lake.

She has also been featured in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan Magazine, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, and New York Newsday.

In her spare time, Lisa plays violin with a classical chamber ensemble at the Lucy Moses School of Music and adores her cat Lucky.
